May not be a big deal, but it is driving me crazy.
I have downloaded a list of my prescription drugs from Humana, for 2015 (only 5 in list).
The first row is just text / title headings - rows 2 through 6 are data entries, with column 1 being a date.
I have one Cell, Row 2, Column 1 that is behaving in a manner I can not explain.
![Change Cell Format In Excel Change Cell Format In Excel](/uploads/1/2/5/7/125761079/842633550.jpg)
It is (looks like) a date (i.e. 11/27/2015), but the format says it is General.
It is left-justified (the other 4 dates are right-justified).
I can change the Cell to a Date format, it has no effect.
I can change the Date format to the 'Wednesday, March 14, 2001' format - no effect.
With a column width of 12, if I Center the date, the Date changes to '1/27/2015',
moved to the left side of the cell (i.e. 11/ becomes a 1/).
The date in the Formula Bar appears to have 5 spaces on the end of the date, and if I backspace
and delete the 5 spaces, the date changes to '11/27' on the left side of the cell
(i.e. as if I had backspaced over the '/2015'
The date is sort of acting like it is really ' 11/27/2015 ', but there are no leading spaces in the Formula Bar.
(basing that guess on how it behaves when Centered)

MY BEST GUESS WAS:
At the Format Cells right-click popup, the cell is marked as Locked on the Protection tab.
I am not sure how locked cells behave, but I cleared the Locked box, and still no change in behavior.
So I am out of things to try.
IT IS JUST THIS ONE CELL.
All of the Dates in column 1 are formatted the same and all but the first act normally when modified, format changed, etc.
Everything else appears normal and OK, although I haven't tried playing around with the other cells, except for column 1.
Does anybody have what is going on with this one cell.
